Traxxion kit on SV650s

Anyone done the Traxxion kit on their SV? How hard was it. Maybe if someone wants to do it we can do multiple SV's at once? I've checked SVRider but was looking for some local "first hand" experience.

i went over to cras4u's house when he and a friend were doing it...

the whole shebang took them almost all day, but i think a decent amount of that was installing the penske rear shock he was doing.

i'm hoping to do emulators springs and oil sometime, but i need to budget for new hoops first (probably conti road attacks)...


how are you liking the SV thus far?

Qfactor on the board helped cras4u. You are correct a lot of that time was for the penske rear shock and locating the res.

I'm liking the bike alot, although it is definately more at home on the twisties than the highway. I have about 1200 miles on it in the last 2 1/2 weeks. Although, since you can see with this thread title, the front forks aren't cutting it. I actually just ordered a Leo Vince Evo II, Targa FE, and the rear hugger is being delivered today!

Dunno why it took so long for the shock.

It took me 40 minutes the first time I did the shock.
I can do it in twenty, now.

Put the friggen res in the tool box and keep your tools under your seat.

Front forks, if you know what you are doing and don't replace the seals, about an hour to an hour and a half.

My bike was new when I did the forks so the seals were still pristine.
If that bike has over 20k, I would replace seals and bushings.

Also don't forget to take out that bottom spacer at the bottom of the fork tube. It will give you another 3/4 inch travel.

Well unfortunately I know next to nothing about doing any fork work haha. The bike only has about 1200 miles but honestly, I just don't have the balls to tear it down.

PM Union or Peter Kates ... best money you will ever spend on that SV.

Out of all the mods, that is the one that is the most neccesary and gives back the most.
