I'd say do what you can with the budget you got, trick cylinders, inverted fork and SSSA will cost you thousands and it will still be an old RD "wet noodle" handling

Get the RD all pretty (Cafe if you have to) and and sell it, then use the money (Hipsters pay real money for them now) to buy RZ350 motor and any decent chassis (like my NSR) and you will have a very nice handling and very trick 2 stroke bike.

As of right now the bike can go two way's.

Carb's in the back then It will have a cafe look. The other way a full race bike. Maybe a newer frame to go with it.

Looks like this could be a good project. I hope you see it through to the end or at least have a final conclusion post. If there's one thing I can't stand about custom project posts, it's lack of completion. Look on everything2stroke's website under "custom" and you'll see a bazillion threads where someone finds a stellar engine, mocks it up in a modern frame with wheels, and then falls off the face of the earth..... no finished machine, not even a post saying why it didn't come together. It's akin to sitting through an entire season of a TV series only to be completely let down by the finale. Yeah I got issues...

I have a SV650 frame but it's tight. I would have to take one of the cooling fins off each side off the head for it to fit.

Very cool bike but the amount of work makes my head hurt.

How much was shipping on those forks? 100UK = about $160, I am guessing shipping will be expensive, at least $70, becareful buying overseas, shipping and a possible rebuild will add up the cost of parts very quickly!!
