I think the original 675 in that weird mustard looked better. or red. it looks great in red. This one is too smoothed out. I liked the chiseled lines of the original.

    Re: Triumph 675R

Anyone heard anything concrete on pricing yet? All I've seen is the phrase "significant increase," meaning it'll probably be a similar increase to other Ohlins/Brembo upgrade models, like Ducati's "S" models ($4-5k), or the old '06 R1 LE ($6k or $7k I believe, but that was with Marchesinis)...which would mean at least a $13-15k tag. That seems like a tough selling point for a middleweight, considering that's 848evo (and liter bike) territory. But if they do it in limited numbers (500 or so), I'm sure they'll all sell.

Make sure you sit on one lol

They have a pretty crazy/uncomfortable seating position and I know how much you ride.

It makes my bike feel like a couch

The 2011 675R is 11,999$ The 675 is 10,499$. The 1,500$ more for the 675R is well worth it. You're getting close to 4,000$ of upgrades, if you were to out fit the 675 with the upgrades the R has.

I rode a 2010. It was a long reach for me...but the skinny waist of the thing: meow!
It was cool enough, but I don't know if I could drop 10k for one. .02

Ps I like the red trim better. Like the newer r1ish.

They need to make a true street r with a true daytona motor in it and all the other goodies. Then mine would be forsale in 30 seconds.

LMFAO. Multiple-time bike of the year and one of the few other bikes to challenge the R6/600RR in WSS? Handling must be the suck.

What did Denno and Derek have to do to the forks to get the bike to handle? Throw them away, I think it was...

The issue with the forks had nothing to do with the bike, and everything to do with whomever fiddled with the inner workings of them.

The motor in the daytona is much more potent than the one in the street triple. Second gear wheelies without the use of a clutch are no problem on this thing, not that I would know or anything like that...

The handling is razor sharp with the correct sag and a little knob turning. I talked to Q at a BoMo day and he loves his stock suspension. I'd suggest taking a ride on one if you get the chance, its an unreal machine, but yes, I am biased I guess.

I wouldn't trade mine for anything....except the 675R. Although if they ever decide to throw a tuned speed triple motor in the daytona chasis, watch out.

    Re: Triumph 675R

They changed the triple clamp offset in either 2008 or 2009 which should have cured the issue that SVRACER01 is talking about.

These bikes are going to be in very short supply. Only about 120 will come to the US.

Triple clamp offset is an issue on many bikes, as street #'s don't always translate into track #'s. Either way, they are fantastic handling bikes.
