Gee, thanks for the video Triumph. Now I know that your new bike with have a headlight, taillight and sweet sounding exhaust.

Unfortunately... it doesn't tell me much else and I guess we'll have to wait another 28 days for more information.

    Lame.

    Re: Triumph Adventure

If you watch closely (the video on the official site is a lot longer), it tells quite a bit:

*Two versions, one with spoked wheels and one with cast.
*21" front wheel on the spoked version.
*Significant offroad focus, at least as much as the F800GS.
*Overall form factor looks very similar to F800GS.
*GS-style beak instead of front fender.
*USD forks and twin front discs, even on the offroad model.

All of this was already rumored, of course, but it's nice to see it confirmed.

It's a teaser site. It's not supposed to provide detailed specs and pics yet. That's the whole point. It builds anticipation and interest.

I understand this. But it's still annoying from this consumer's point-of-view.

I'd rather know all the details too. But I know enough to have me 90% convinced I'm going to buy one.

And yeah, it's a well-shot video. Looks like Top Gear material.

Lots of folks have been waiting for a long time for this bike, will be interesting to see how they modify the 675 engine for an off road machine.

Looks like they're going back to the "Tiger Cub" concept they had a few years ago. Basically a Girlie (2001-2007) Tiger w/a smaller motor.

The 675 trip is pretty much the perfect motor for the dual sport... and it'll free up the 1050 Tiger to remain a fully-street sport/touring machine.

I'm really excited to see this... Triumph hasn't made a dual sport in almost 4 years (scrambler does not count, and new Tiger not recommended off-road) and if they pick up where they left off with the 955i Tiger... they'll make one hell of a machine.

Expect this new bike to be way more of a dirt bike than the Tiger 955i ever was. Or even the old Steamer Tigers.

The few details I've heard beyond what can be discerned from the video imply that this bike will be a better dirt bike than the BMW F800GS. Possibly even approaching the KTM 950 Super Enduro.

Can't wait to get my hands on one.

I wonder how long it'll take before people start calling it the Dirt Triple.

Any idea when they will release the full specs and other deliciousness?

Could be my next bike.....like a Vstrom650 with better suspenders/brakes, which is exactly what I'm looking for!

    Re: Triumph Adventure

Looks like the official unveiling will be at the big industry show in Milan in early November.

Copied from a post on ADVrider, where someone with an insider connection has been occasionally dropping hints and leaking little bits of info for the past few months. This time it looks like a memo from Triumph to its North American dealers.

    3. The two new bikes will be officially unveiled at the Milan show and are under embargo until November 2, 2010.

    4. The launch of this new model in North America is planned for March 2011.
Point number 2 is especially interesting -- Triumph clearly know what they're doing. The ADV market is almost as much about farkles as it is about bikes, and Triumph will obviously be offering a full line of skid plates, crash guards, auxiliary lighting, exhausts, etc at launch in order to get in on that market. I wouldn't be surprised if they also have their own high-end enduro suit along the lines of BMW's Rallye one.

    Re: Triumph Adventure

MCN has published a great spy shot of the more road-oriented version:

This bike looks really, really promising. I'm glad to see that even on the road-oriented one they've gone with a 19" front wheel so people can still mount dual-sport tires.

Can't wait to see a good side view of the dirty version.

    Funny.

However, if you look right below the Walmart bag, you might note what appear to be two integral mounting points for hard side cases.

And I agree, that frame looks awesome.

Nope. Instead, those look like dual 2 pot sliding calipers.
