    Bike Cam

Have any of you ever used this on bike video recorder?

    MotoComm DSR-100

My Parts Unlimited rep stopped by to show it to me. he had video of himself on a dirt bike and it looked real good. With a 2 gig SD card you get 8 hours of recording time. If this is a good product we can do a group buy for a real good price. Let me know what you think.

It's 380 lines. You can get 480 or even a 520 lines camera for abut the same price. Doesn't make much difference on a computer, but it will on a TV.

    Just my 2c

It's still a pretty good deal though, for all you get (the solid state recorder is key)

    derek

the 30 fps is a must for fast action and the quality looks good for Mpeg4 (DivX) compression but the 320x240 is a limiting factor.....

the portable DVR's are going in the right direction.... but need a min of 640 to be really viewable... I also doubt 8hrs at 30fps, more like 40 - 60 min at hi res/fps,

my guess is by end 07 the processing power will be their in inexpensive portable DVR's for fast pace action both in foreground and background.

So if you guys want a camera, how about $299.99 if I can order 4. Remember they come with every thing including a carrying case. All you need are 8 "AA" batteries.

I really want that camera. But it's not a first thing on my list to do for the bike unfortunately.
