Talking Twas a good day (bandwith warning)

After 4 weeks of waiting, my future street/trail/and maybe sometimes even race bike came in today
I wasn't expecting any decals on it but it looks kinda cool i guess

Here's a few pictures i took. It comes as a SuperMoto and all the dirt gear (tires & wheels, stock front brake disc and calliper, rear disc, and the stock front fender) will all be shipped to me direct from KTM in 4-6 weeks. I've also got a box full of parts to get it road legal, i just have to spend some time installing everything

Possible dumb question... No crossdrilled front rotor but the rear is?

I asked the same question when the bike was ordered a month ago. KTM makes 2 supermoto kits, one is a race kit and one is a street kit. The 450SMC has the street brakes (that's what mine is) and the 450SMR has the race brakes.

I took it for a little blast up the road just before dark and was pretty impressed with how smooth the motor was. I don't think it has the kick the YZ has but then again i didn't ring the piss out of it It did spin up that slick pretty good though

I can't legaly ride it yet, there's still no working lights on it
I did spend the afternoon working on it though and started to install the lighting. Nothing is wired yet and i still have to install the rear turn signals, also the voltage regulator is on back order so that's gonna be another holdup

Rear OE tail/brake light with a mud guard for the license plate from a 05 EXC. I still need to install the mini signals and the punchouts are allready in place for the signals and wireing

The front headlight and turn signals. It's a OE headlight and mask for a 05 EXC, I also bought a OE turn signal holder bracket and just mounted some mini stalks to them. I want some sort of decal or something for above the headlight..

Turn signal switch made by Baja Designs. Has the signals, high and low headlight beam, horn and a kill switch.

And of coarse the puppy was watching my every move

Mark, I noticed you've now got the brake line behind the front plate -- is there a guide behind it for the brake line to keep it from snagging?

That's a trial and error type placement, if it doesn't rub anything after i put the KTM speedometer i'm going to leave it there

strangeone, the dirtwheels are not going anywhere. I will be exploring some trails close to my house and it will be "tollerated" as long as it has a street plate Plus maybe Pachoug may get a few visits. Savoy? Sure i'll go there...with the quad

hey, you've got so many god damn bikes, when then hell do you have time to spend with all your toys???

You're gonna have to start looking for a new trailer that will hold all of 'em or at least a nice garage that doesn't look like a shed on the outside

I don't have the time, just like having them around Last thing i need is a big garage, if i had all that extra room, i'd probably end up with more toys

I started to make the wire harness for the lighting and signals tonight (sorry no pictures yet) and what a project that is turning out to be I'll probably add 5lbs to the bike with the wire, connectors and solder
