Just curious as to what everyone likes for their favorite engine.

I figured it would be cool to see who likes what.

(There will not be a bemused option for this poll, as I'd like it to be accurate. Or at least somewhat accurate.)

Seeing how there was no single thumper option, I was forced to vote inline 4

Shit, I forgot about dirty riding. Maybe one of the moderators could add a single-cylinder option.

edit: although, the poll is which SPORTBIKE engine. (unless you're talking about older single-cylinder motors)

Thanks alot, this'll get me abused by my friends. I WAS a die hard v-twin fan, but the I4 is growing on me. I'll vote, but I won't tell you what I voted for.

    Personally, I'd like a nice Honda V-5.

I wasn't actually thinking about the dirty stuff when I posted it, more so the Motards... which are fun on Sport rides...and they are Bikes...so they fit in the SportBike catagory

Then I claim ignorance, since I know very little about the Motard side of the sport.

Motards aren't sportbikes, they are motards. Just like a cruiser isn't a sportbike just because you go for a 'sporting ride on the bike'.

    V-Twin but I love all.

Street riding is a funny thing cause theres

many parts. The 4 banger does every thing well but has the feeling of riding a cage now the Ltwin sux to ride slow & the way they go fast. The feeling a twin gives you in the pants. The twins don't run the way 4 bangers do. The twin is better at what I like about street riding. 3 Bangers fall in the center.
Thumpers are in a class of themselfs .

Yeah, but stirring up a little controversy is good every now & then.

I think you should request 'V-Twin' get changed to simply 'Twin'...

    V-Twin or Inline-4

i voted V-twin.... i've owned both and i perfer a V-twin on the street. at the track i would have prefered an I-4..... but my NSR stroker is a V-twin and so far i'm liking it better than any 4-stroke as far as track use goes.
