I saw this helmet and HAD to have it. (I was looking for a new helmet anyway) Was an awesome score, since it retails at close to $800.

sweet, I just got a 'tommygun' rx7 corsair...its so comfortable though alittle loud. Love it

It couldn't be any worse than my HJC AC-12. That's one of the loudest helmets I have ever owned.

Very nice. I'm tempted to buy one myself after noticing they have one in size medium for sale. I've been thinking about getting a spare helmet and boy what a deal if normal retail is 800 baloons.

That helmet is freaking sweet. I was debating between that and an Icon Seventh Seal and I went with the Icon because I'm trying to save up for a collapsable trailer + hitch so I can track my bike this summer with you guys.

99 red baloons go by............... One thing I've thought about when buying a close out helmet is the date rating. These are probably snell2005?? so 2 years from now they will be shunned from say racing?

Well, almost a month after I originally ordered the damn thing and I finally got to ride with the new lid. (mostly because it came the day AFTER I traveled to a client's location for 2 weeks)

NOW I remember what a really good helmet feels like on your head. Sure, my HJC AC-12 is nice. It's at the top of the HJC line, just under the AC-12 Carbon. But the Arai just looks and feels so much more solid and well made than the HJC does.

The only negative that I have to say about the RX-7 is the wind noise as a result of the numerous vents that it has. But, you have to take the bad with the good. I wear foam plugs when I ride anyway, so this isn't a real issue. The fact that that it feels so much better on my noggin and vents 10 times better than the HJC is what matters.

So, look for the old guy on the old bike with the new lid. I like it!!

I had an Arai in the past, one of the old Signet models (circa 1995) and loved it. It still hangs in my garage. The colors are awful though. It matched my 93 GSXR-750, which was purple and black with blue and hot pink graphics. (yes, this was the stock colors)

I just didn't have the cash to part with when I got my bike back in '06. So, this season, new job, more coin, new lid.
