    how do i fix this?

got my ex to run today. then realized i had a gaping hole in the exhaust cross over pipe. i really dont want to buy new headers or even used ones. any ideas on fixing this? i was thinking of just cutting the cross over pipe out completely and welding it up. heres what im talking about

Hit it with that fancy pink hammer.

Or just weld it. Make sure you pull the exhaust as far in as you can, then weld it

lol at the pink hammer. Make sure everything is on correctly. A common mod on the ex's is to trim and pull those together as close as possible to eliminate dragging.

    Hey that's my GF's hammer!

She said she left on the couch, and when she got up, it was gone?

    Where did you find it?

Is that legal? If so I am "modding" the heck out of my Ptwin Hawk Exhaust.

According to the LRRS rule book, no. According to some of the EX Mafia and a few others, 'it's in the spirit of the class' so yes.

Its not modding the exhaust, its not even trimming the bracket, you just pull the pipes in closer to improve ground clearance. No cutting involved (Though Im sure some do)

Cool I am gonna "improve my ground clearance" too.

Even though the Hawk will only be allowed on a nudge, nudge, wink, wink basis.

If you think this is an illegal mod, technically the case guards are too, since they're not production parts.

Get a heavy duty clamp & a ratcheting tie-down... wrap it around the headers near the x-over. Tighten it so it pulls them together & clamp em down good.

    Done.
