Using a quick shifter - Helpful

I have installed many quickshifters & one to many times have had issues with the shift rod not having the correct amount of adjustment needed for the best shifter to foot position & have seen many people move the splinded joint on the shift shaft, which can cause hard, clunky, limited gear engagement while shifting & damage to the transmission. Thought this might be helpful given it tells you how many sections you my need to be cut from the shifting rod using non oem rearsets.

    Justin@Adrenaline Cycle

Dynojet Power Commander Shift Rod Kits. The Dynojet Shift Rods are designed for certain Quick Shifters and work only for specific bike models and setups. As a result, not all bike models require the purchase of a Shift Rod Kit.

How to Find your Bike's Shift Rod

To determine whether or not your motorcycle requires a shift rod kit, please refer to the information below (NOTE: You can also use these shift rod build kits for universal applications). The chart below outlines what type of Dynojet Quick Shifter your bike uses and what shift rods will be needed with the stock rearsets and the standard shift patter. For racing shift patterns (reverse shifting), you will need to determine if you are pushing or pulling the shift rod end points so you will select the correct setup. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact Adrenaline cycle 508-379-0100.

Models Using the PC5 require the use of the QEM add-on unit.

That's just what happens when ": P" appears in the post (minus the space between them). Add a space & it'll go away.

I never found quickshifters to be reliable enough for the racing environment. As soon as you start bending shit up, and racing in the rain, these things are frustrating as hell.

Are these factory quick shifters any more reliable?

Thanks. I've installed all of 20 Dyno jet quick shifters & had an issue with only one which happened to be on my own bike, but after talking to Dyno jet it was an issue just on my model bike. They sent me a fix for it & it's been fine since

The standard kill time is 6 mill seconds. Witch works great for 90% of bikes. If bike shifts ruff add 1 or 2 mill sec. You can also set kill time per gear as well. I have on all 5 of my bikes & installed on a bunch of customers bikes they work great as long as they are set-up correctly which I think is very easy. most issues are due to human error
