    My camp is only 10x10

    I'm not a big fan of insulated pannels, or anything prefab for that matter They create condensation in the colder months and will not last that long.

    My plan is for a log home kit sometime in the future, it'll be my house and not a camp tho. You can get a 1,500 sqft complete log home kit with all cedar logs (cedar has a better R value than pine/spruce and has a natural resistance to rot) for around $35-40k.

    what kind of problems with condensation?


    what ever i do it will have to be well insulated, we spend a lot of time there sledding. the coldest day last year was -25 and we had several weeks where it never got above -5.

    The problem with those pannels is there is no ventalation between the layers. You've got osb glued to foam with no spaces, there's no transition zone from the hot to cold and it creates condensation in the winter time. Then that shitty osb simply falls apart I've seen them rot out in less than 3 years on some roofs
