    Vanilla Bean

So this past Sunday the Man God and I decided to ride up to the infamous Bean for the first time. It was way cool. I had no idea so many bikes were going to be there. Very cool! Would be nice to meet some of you up there some Sunday. I will be doing that ride a few more times before the summer's over. Were any of you there around lunch time? The majority of bikes there were Harley's.

    Where's the Bean?

If its obvious, then I ask you: Where are the quarries in Lanesville? and where can I get a Hafenreffer in close walking distance?

Hmmm, what is this Bean you speak of? It doesn't ring any bells for me. It sounds interesting and as if it might need some more representation from riders like us....you know, those who like to "ride" our bikes rather than "work" on them.

Ironically, on Sunday morning I headed down to Enfield to go riding around with a long time buddy of mine who lives there. It is, after all, my home town. I grew up in the Southwood Acres & Greenmanorville sections of town.

    Vanilla Bean

To enlighten those who have not yet heard of the Bean, here's their web site. I highly recommend a visit...perhaps a group meet!

Been by the Bean many a time, but never stopped in... I usally ride 198, 169, 171, 197, 21 and other roads in NE CT early in the morning before all the cagers get out and clog up the roads... I was up that way, but it was around 8:30 am on Sunday. Some nice riding... I would be up for a Sunday meet at the VB. I too have not seen many Sport bikes around there... mostly crusiers. Did you checkout the Bean's food? Well how about the liquid refreshments?

The Bean's food is average. The chili was yummy. You guys won't really know unless you check it out though.

So who's in and when should we meet? We need to represent...there were WAY too many of those 'other' bikes there on Sunday.

I think the Bean is a little over rated. The food is OK, and you need to take out a loan to get some of it. 1/2 chic salad sand/cup chili and a snapple 11.75. Thats crazy.

The best part of the bean is the roads around it

Mystery Squid, I probably have blown by the ole home many a time.... Some nice roads and scenery out that way, but you gotta get up and ride them early on the weekend before all the moms and pops get on the road....

BTW now that we know where you "reputedly" grew up, it sure explains alot of things
