Now take the bike to VT and get an inspection sticker.

This is required by law to be placed on the vehicle within 15 days of a new registration being issued .

I thought you could only get busted for that if you're caught riding it in VT with no sticker. I didn't think other states cared. Maybe I'm wrong. But that is another reason I just registered in CT.
