    Got my L's Back!!....

    Just to lose it again.

Well, I'm new to the forum Guys and I'm sad to say my first post is not a positive one. Needless to say I did something stupid.
After a previous lengthy suspension, I finally got my L back. I was exstatic. I put insurance on the Bike and was off.... Five days later I get hit with a 90-24 Operating as to endanger. Lifted the front tire past a cop Hiding behind a bush. No fine, no arrest, just an appear in court. Plus He said he was going to notify The RMV to Suspend My L's for "Immediate Threat" The thought of being without a L again make me wanna Hurl. any thoughts? (Squid Comments aren't Necessary...I know)

    Re: Got my L's Back!!....

Your all done. You just got it back and let this happen. I know you must feel sick about it but you need to use the time to think about it and hope you can get your license back at some point. I'm not tying to sound all holier than though I got the exact same ticket years back for doing a wheelie over the zakim bridge in Boston. That being said aside from my wheelies I try to keep it calm on the street I'm fact I basically don't wheelie anymore. If you must go to a private parking lot somewhere because the cops won't put ip with it.

The big issue here is not the fact that you did something stupid. It happens. But by your own admission it's not the 1st time. This kind of stuff is going to follow you the rest of your life. Suspensions show up on job CORI checks. Seriously you have some maturing to do.

Criminal Offender Records Inquiry... most employers will request it from your local PD. Judge won't be too nice to you at all, he's going to "teach you a lesson." All you can do now, is be respectful, take your punishment, and carry on. Good luck!

But excellent idea anyway! Can't ride at ALL on the street, might as well get some kicks on a closed course.... IF he can still afford it

I don't understand why everybody who gets a ticket doesn't get a lawyer.
they usually charge $200 to $300 per incedent,
I've paid $750 for a 6 ticket stop. ( registration, inspection, 119 in 55, fail to complete stop for sign, did not use turn to change lanes, and some other way to write a ticket for going to fast ) that was still cheaper than to pay the court and they get it lowered so not to damage your future record as bad.
And yes the cop was a complete DB ,and had to call for back up to see what else he could write me for . Just so he could brag about writing 6 tickets on one stop..

I was charged with the same thing before, along with speeding 101 in a 65. I lawyered up and spent over a grand on the lawyer only to get a continuance without a finding on the operating to endanger charger (you don't want to be convicted this is a criminal offense!) and a reduction on the speeding. Probably could have talked myself into that without the lawyer if I had known more about law.

Jesus Christ....get the best fucking lawyer you can afford.

Frankly, I hope you lose your license long enough to grow up a little but having that on your record will haunt you for ever. A lawyer will likely be able to plea it down to something less painful...

    Re: Got my L's Back!!....

Wheelies are fun , I do them all the time .

But not in front of the police.

SOUTH DENNIS — Police have identified the victim of Tuesday afternoon's fatal motorcycle accident as a former Dennis resident who recently lived in Connecticut.

Gerald M. Robertson, 42, of Milford, Conn., died of injuries received when he was thrown from his motorcycle while riding on Lower County Road, according to the Dennis police.

Robertson was heading east on his 1999 Kawasaki ZX1100 when he collided with a westbound vehicle, which was turning into the Sundae School Ice Cream Store at the moment of impact, the police said.

Witnesses told police that Robertson was thrown from his motorcycle and hit a tow truck stopped in the westbound lane. Witnesses also told police that Robertson "popped a wheelie" shortly before the crash, but police have not been able to confirm those reports.

Dennis police Capt. William Monahan said investigators will reconstruct the crash as their probe continues this week. No charges had been filed as of yesterday.

Robertson is survived by a son and five brothers. They could not be reached for comment yesterday.

Continuance without a finding will not be offered in this situation.

You got a fresh way with moto-blaspheme, Trader.

I know it makes me a big hairy wuss, but around the burbs, the slabs and neighborhoods I observe the speed limits, never popped a wheelie in my life, run stock exhaust and never assume a cop will cut me a break for a lousy 15 over. I always figure they'll give you 7 or 8 or 10 out on the slab, but no more. And out on slabs, I'll do a blast past a pack of cages, but get away and slow down again. The rest of the laws are easy. Complete stops, observe No U Turn signs, crap like that which seem to snag a lot of peeps, too. These policies have served me well over the years once I got fed up with courts, continuances, and the occasional fine, even though I'm pretty good at digging in and beating them. Side benefit to all this? No crashes. I replace hats cause they're ratty, not cause they're scuffed. Like Tweasy said you never know where the cops are, these cops are EVERYWHERE, and NOWHERE, they're ALL equipped with Laser and RADAR, and slow as 20MPH over the limit seems to us (or 40 or 80) to them, it's serious.

NOT being holier than thou here Arch, but in the words of my old buddy Tracy that got me into all this bike-shit 25 or 30 years back we all got three choices in this bizz. Learn to run from em, learn to beat em in court, or slow the fuck down and ride per the law (he was good at all three). I voted the latter when I got tired of courts and cops. When/if you get your "L's" back, go out on Track Days or find places in the boonies where even the COPS don't bother with to go play fast. You guys have more Track Day options than we do here (although Summit Point will sell you track time), so down here I got twisty places in the hills you don't see a cage let alone cops on for hours. I'd bet there's places in NH and Vermont that got em, too. You can be a hooligan, you can have fun on the bike, ya just gotta pick yer spots, Arch. Because sure as Gawd made little green apples they WILL take you off the road. Doc and Dave and a hundred others have made the same points over and over and someone always comes along with another sad-ass ticket-tale. But this one sounds pretty serious. Down here in Va., the worst label DMV and the courts can lay on you is "Habitual Offender". Sounds like that's what they got on you. Best of luck.

Sux man. Bike is already on CraigsList. I'm idiot for letting this happen again.

Quick question tho. Why is that they never arrest you. well i wont say never, but If I am such a danger to the streets and all the cagers (not saying wheelies are safe) why did they let me go? its almost a worst punishment to know that the letter in the mail is coming that says you have a week left to drive b4 the RMV Suspends your liscense.
