The whole "this is why I only ride the track" comment thing is getting really old. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that why this forum was created in the first place? Because of people constantly preaching about riding the track instead of the street?

I have not ridden the track yet. But I can't imagine giving up street riding ever. Always new sights sounds and smells as well as the thrill of some new turns and a good rip at the throttle when appropriate. But my first track day will be this year and soon. I'm sure i'll be hooked with that too. A few of us are heading south in June to rip West Virginia, Tennessee and a few other areas. Yes were going to hit the Dragon just for kicks but I understand there are many roads in that area that are superior to it. Give up street riding? Never.
Y'all dun missed da part weah I sayd "speaking for myself only". Capisce?
I never said I was giving up street riding, but I did comment on if I said I had to pick one...
Not preaching, just saying.
Riding on the track = hit that apex, trail braking and gas it!
Riding on the street = never, ever going through blind turns without knowing what's in front of you / on the pavement. Once you can see your path far ahead, bu-raaaaap.

I don't think I could give up street riding as I do like it. My racing has definitely tamed my street riding though(well...most of the time). And racing has also helped my confidence on the street. I am NOT looking forward to seeing what this winter has done to the roads in Maine though![]()
