watch out for school bus stops

arrgh, school's back in session

I was riding a bit fast on a gravel road, as I come around the corner, a school bus is stopped, no potential of actually hitting the oncoming bus or the kid it was dropping off. but I did want to stop to avoid being reported for a ticket

I was going just fast enuf thru the corner that I was beginning to drift sideways, so I had little traction to stop, but I managed too somehow

it was, there was quite a bit of loose stone, pebbles & sand. no problem flyin thru with a smooth line and steady throttle. I think I coulda stopped quicker in icy winter conditions with my studded Karoo Ts

any hamfisted grab at the brake would have tucked the front wheel for sure

never used to be busses on that road, but I shoulda known, after all, I surveyed the new houselots a few years ago, now houses are built with 1.7 children in each one

in the morning, I'm rarely on the road when busses are out, the short bus usually pulls right into the driveway instead of stopping in the road

the one I encountrered was late in afternoon, bus was empty, so it looked like last stop of day
