    Watching the Classic

    Hey all,

I'm heading to Loudon with some friends tomorrow for the Classic. I've never been to NHMS before, just thought it would be cool to watch some races and get some exposure to the scene. Any recommendations on where to watch the races from/anything I should do while I'm up there?

Get a pit pass... walk through the garages.... find us.

Center garage #1 = ECK Racing. Introduce yourself & ask questions. We'll point ya in the right direction.

The grandstands in the bowl are cool. Front straight to watch the starts. You can walk all the way down towards Turn 1 on upper pit road. On the infield you can watch from some smaller grandstands by turn 2 or half way to turn 3. Or you can head to the back corner to watch 10-12.

    Re: Watching the Classic

When I showed up at the last round, the money taker asked if I wanted grandstand or infield, I believe they were different prices.

Without a doubt, purchase the infield tickets.....its 15 per person.

Go to the outside grandstands near T1. Great view of T1, 1A, and the entry to 2. I got some great shots from there when I went up for round 1. Prepare to be stunned at how deep the fast guys go into 1!
I bet the grandstands down near 12 are worth a walk over to as well.

I still have not been able to find a great place to watch T9/10. Best I can do is stand in the infield next to the fence. But there is a lot of concrete barrier and airfence there, so you need to be way over and pretty much just get to see the exit of 10.

I will be heading up tomorrow. Can anyone give some advice how to avoid Pete and his amazing technicolor goatee at all costs?

Drive aroun the back side of the track, over near the Sprint sign. Probably have to stand on your roof but you can see almost every corner.
