The Wave

Ok guys, I'm pretty sure there is already a thread on this somewhere, so if you know of it, please link me to it and forgive my repetition.

If not...


What is your stance on The Wave. Do you only wave to bikes of the same make as yours? i.e.- Gixxers to Gixxers. Only wave to other street bikes? Wave to everyone on a bike including mopeds and bmx's with training wheels?

I myself try to wave to everyone. I usually hesitate when it comes to Harley's and wait for them to make the first move, but will usually crack at the last second and throw out the hand.

EDIT: I wave to most everyone on two wheels however, no gear = no love.

I wave to everyone but if they are tools with tank tops or sans helmet I cross my fingers...

I dont care if Im labeled intolerant. I wave to all sport bikers, and wave to cruisers if they wave first.
I will however warn ANYONE on two wheels if they're coming up on a speed trap, and want to punch anyone that doesnt do the same.

I do the same. Usually a high beam flash or the hand doing the "slow down" motion.

If I'm on a ride and haven't had many "replies" I usually stop
waving to the Harley riders...but keep waving to the sport bikes.

I wave to everyone but why don't the harley guys wave back, you think they would be considerate seeing as they break down the most.

Perhaps I wave to confirm a common interest, regardless of the brand of bike etc.

Sometimes I forget to wave, but when I'm saying my nightly prayers I try to remember to ask God for forgiveness.
