Weighted Bar Ends

    Weighted Bar Ends

Anyone have them? does it really help with vibration?

I scuffed one of mine anyways when my gixxah fell over in the driveway. An aquaintance with a k6 750 told me they made a world of different on the vibration prone GSXR's.

thanks ahead of time for your valued insight and opinions. I know only the most competant and intellectual members will post in this thread.

I have shogun sliders already and they work well. Also probably one of the better looking styles IMHO. I have spools already so I just need the bar ends.

Are the shogun ones weighted do you know? I'll search and see what I come up with.

If you look down, you go down. That may be fun at an orgy, but it sucks on a bike

    Re: Weighted Bar Ends

interesting, I was thinking of trying different bar ends as my 636 vibrates pretty damn good (or bad). I have messed up right thumb/ligaments and it makes my whole hand go numb after riding for 45min or more.

BTW, the cheap alternative is pulling out the stock bar end, filling the handlebar w/ BB's and putting the bar end back on.

I had heard of using a bar snake before (long sock filled with BB's) but these are clip-ons so that wouldn't work.

Is it just me or are these bar ends really pricey? My sliders only cost me $30.00 shipped so I wasn't expecting to pay $60.00 for bar ends.

Well quality stuff isn't always cheap. Can't say I'd really trust 30 dollar frame sliders. Not saying they wouldn't work, just that I'd buy something w/ a better reputation like Woodcraft, R&G, etc.

Just mounted a set on the CBR this week. Got them from !!!MANIC Salamander Motorcycle Accessories . They're heavy and a little large. We'll see how they work.

A lot of the older kawi's have big heavy bar ends. I got a set for my GSXR but I can't find a damn hex bolt long enough to work with them!

Better than steel BB's would be lead shot available at shooting/reloading vendors.
Heavier than steel but softer... less resonance.

Pssst, they're all the same. Pick the one that leaves the most weight in your wallet, or looks most appealing (if that's what you're into).

Oreo mentioned the rhinomoto ones. I've had them before and they worked well. Replaceable slider end was nice too, in case you felt like throwing your bike down.
