    Any welders/fabricators out there?

I've been searching high & low for an exhaust for my Tuono that's somewhat affordable (under 400 bucks), looks different than your run of the mill Akra, Leo or Yosh and isn't loud as a motherfukker..... Found a bunch of potential candidates that I love the looks of (see pics in this thread) but I can't find one that meets the other 2 criteria.

    So... I've got an idea....

I've got a decent sized baffle that was removed from my stock exhaust and I've got a dended, scratched up Yosh RS3 that I can disect the guts from as well.... I've also got a few ideas that if I could make happen I think it'd turn out pretty good.... Just need some raw materials & someone who can help me fab it up.

    But first,
1 - where to get the raw materials? Exhaust packing is easy enough to get.... A sheet of titanium would be killer but I'm sure it'd be $$$ and I know Ti is hard to work with.... So maybe Aluminum instead if Ti isn't feasable.
    and
2 - I can't weld or rivet, nor do I have the tools required... Gonna need at the very least helping hand if not someone that wants to fab it up for me for a reasonable price.

So... who's up for helpin me out on a little winter or spring time project?

Even if ya just wanna post some neat ideas, go ahead & chime in.... but lets try & keep it on topic, aight? A half decent technical discussion would be nice for a change.

I weld. I use Mig though... and i make it look PRETTY (no popcorn)
i'd recomend getting some sheet steel @ home depot, that's the easiest to work with, and you can buff it up, and use some high-temp clear coat.

Not a fan of the full CF pipe... what I DO like is the Leo Vince Titanium pipe w/ the Carbon Fiber end caps. They make em for the dual piped second gen tuono (see link) but not the first gen.

If you want to make the pipe round and not tapered, i'd get some thinwall stainless tubing. You can buy the end caps that come on vance&hines exhausts and some others from dennis kirk, i might go that route so it looks a little more finished. If you want to do something with stainless i might be able to help, i've got a tig setup (but its only DC- i cant do aluminum)

The wonderful about Tiggers, Tiggers are a wonderful thing!
Their bottoms are made out of rubber, their tails are made out springs!
