The camping tourists bungholes and the local twisties are so tight down here in arkansas I was thinkin of building a motard bike, noting to race or too exotic and with enough nuts to go 70 for short stints. What bikes are good candidates for motard duty? is a 350 motard fun on public roads?
For street use, get either a KTM 525 or 560, or for cheaper money (but much slower) for a DRZ400SM.
Thanks,
I probably will be going for cheaper money, if I want to go fast I can always hop on my other bike.
KX500
xr650r...
hmmmm......
cheaper money = Suzuki DRZ
2001 RC51!!!
2007 Husky SMR 510 - no longer... blown tranny
My Buddy has a 99 I thinkWR400 With MAss title and Plates all rebuilt with Dirtwheels and Street wheels (stock size) for $2100 with extra gearing ect.

A Honda XR650L would do the trick too with standard uncorking mods and maybe slightly taller gearing.

Thats how I got a friend to get her first bike a ninja 500, she was trying to rationalize it weighing the pros and cons, I told her : Its doesn't make normal sense to get one, the riding season seasons short, its dangerous, its not really that practical for you, theres a million good reasons not but, but when you look back when your old youll kick yourself in the ass for not getting one, rational or not.
Im a terrible influence![]()
