    What's the Difference?

silver is an empirically faster color.

at least for SVs... i hear silver triumphs are slower, though.

    What's the Difference?

    this one's pretty easy...

red is the slowest color in the visible spectrum. since anything red is reflecting all of this longer wavelength radiation, it interferes with your foreward momentum to a greater degree than any of the "faster" colors.

that's why brake lights are red... not only do they warn drivers behind you, but the red light they're shining is actually helping both you and the following vehicle to slow down.

(I thought everybody knew that... )

    What's the Difference?

The most obvious reason that I have found for some motorcycle colors to be faster is if the power band is matched.
    Not Matched = Slower
My Faster Copper SV1000S has the matched Copper power band and that makes all the difference in the world.
