... Honestly, I'd gladly do private lessons if the liability wasn't through the roof.

There's no reason why a buddy, etc. couldn't give help her with "lessons". It's usually pretty hard for spouses/siblings/partners to give and/or take instruction when learning something new and so involving.

What liability to you? You're only really helping out a buddy and his wife.

I highly doubt something like that would be needed. I don't see this any differently than maybe teaching your buddy whom never bothered to get his license how to drive a car. Or teaching your neighbor's kid how to drive a manual transmission. Or even teaching someone how to properly handle a firearm.

Oh yeah, I'd def help out a buddy & his wife. My more general comment about liability were if it were opened up to a larger scale, kinda like what Ken Condon does with his street training business. I've only had just a tiny glimpse into the amount of work, planning, effort and "cover your ass" work that he's put into that but it's pretty astounding.

Oh, fuck yeah. I couldn't wrap my head around having to organize something like that. Ken's a fuckin' machine! I'm not sure if I ever mentioned the first time I met him, but I don't want to mess this thread up anymore than it is.

that's what my ex did after she got kicked out of MSF for looping a GN125. told her to practice on her own bike. I found an old CM250 for cheap $$
the next weekend, we went to the Farmington HS parking lot and met up with Wade Bartlett for some 1 on 1 instruction, within minutes, she was zipping around the parking lot, shifting up and down, practicing quick stops, etc. The next weekend, I took her there solo and just watched her, she did 75 miles that afternoon, never went out of the parking lot. After that day, we would go riding on some of the back roads. She never did get her MC license
