Stick with the ABS I'd say...

Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Ugh…
So I found my wife a leftover 2021 Rebel 500 ABS.
She was excited and we planned to buy it.
I then amazingly found a 2022 Rebel 500 ABS SE that someone with a deposit bailed on… and brought it to my wife’s attention.
She was on the fence, but decided to go with the 22.
Now it turns out she doesn’t like the headlight cowl that is an accessory included on the SE…
Since it’s an accessory that can be added to the non-SE, do you think it’s very easy to just take that cowl off?

It LOOKS like it'd be easy enough. Personally, I like that little touch with the headlight cowl.

I hear great things about the new parallel twin Rebels. I like the looks better than I like most cruisers, too.

Mods: sorry, feel free to move this to a beginners thread if such exists.
My wife was reading up on riding and asked me what the 70/30 thing meant and honestly, I didn’t specifically know what she meant.
Any insight into this? Is this irrelevant with an ABS system?
I’ve learned one thing: I shouldn’t be an instructor.

Ah Nevermind I get it. Still curious is ABS kinda makes this irrelevant.

ABS wouldn't make it irrelevant. LINKED braking may to a point. I believe the linked braking on mine shuts down under 20MPH. Then again, how would they be able to monitor the ratio of front:back braking? I don't think one would be able to figure that out while simply observing the rider.

Excellent! Now since that’s all sorted out…
How about mistress bike choices?
How's the She Boss liking her ride?

Allegedly dirt bikes in high school but I kinda expected a better understanding of shifting day one. So much so that I went online and thought about buying a Yamaha Blaster in Windham for her to master shifting before two wheels, but she ended up picking it up well.
Our driveway is big and wide enough that I could set up the cones (provided the measurements I got online were accurate) and U turn boxes. Ordered 40 mini cones off Amazon
I think today will be the first day we hit the street. Cross your fingers!

Ahh... yeah that doesn't surprise me too much. I remember telling people to sign up in the winter or even late FALL if they wanted to get in on the early Spring classes (that would inevitably rain )
