    My "New" Windscreen

Because I'm a cheap bastard and things were slow at the store
today I decided I would take off my stock clear shield and darken
    it up a bit.

Taped it up.......used a rattle can and presto!

I'm thinking it won't pass inspection but by that time i'm hoping
to have a double bubble. For now just need some windscreen screws.

    Here's some pictures........

    Re: My "New" Windscreen

I did that to my gixxer when I first got it. Looked decent. A few people saw it and did it to theirs too. I don't remember having issues passing inspection with it. After a while it bothered me though. I could never see my rpms through the top when messing around. which turned out to be a good thing because I just went by sound after that.

I did that to mine just after I got the bike and had no problem with the inspection. But a week later my blue wind screen came in and it now sits on the shelf.

how come you can't reuse the windscreen well nuts and bolts?

I took my stock bolts and rattle canned 'em. no flaking or anything so far after a few months and I've removed and put them back in a few times. I think I did clear over them with some rattle can clear too though.

That's funny, me too and the same one's. after de-prepping my bike from the track I can't seem to get those two in. I think I need a new set of windscreen well nuts and bolts.

I've always needed to see through my windscreen, but it looks cool.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

Judging by the wheel, I'm going to guess BMW M3.

    Re: My "New" Windscreen

Many years ago when I first got my '84 Ninja I was unhappy with the look of the windscreen. As expected it was faded and had a yellow tinge to it.
I removed it from the bike and did the same process as you did.

The finished screen looked "mint" and more than a few friends have commented on the look too.

Yours turned out well, well done.
