If you want some insight and wisdom that's actually applicable you should read some of Ken C's writing. After you read a few of his articles come back and reread your own.

Most important thing to know for winter riding

Hypothermia most important concern in gear, crash protection becomes secondary

Learn the stages of hypothermia, reaction time and mental ability is on par with a drunk, you should not be on road if you are shivering

You mean shamu doesn't have heat built in? I woulda figured it did. How else do you justify being the size and weight of a car?

More to wire sizing than overall gauge. If they're using the good quality stuff made from very thin strands there could be very good current carrying capacity in those wires.

Now, the clamps on the other hand...

I also realize they are short cables as well, if the wires were gold, sure, 10ga. copper wire just doesn't cut it for carrying a 100 amp load for more than a few seconds

You are assuming this is like a conventional battery that doesn't have any circuitry to control current flow, both charging and output. It isn't.

There are some people that are late adopters and not comfortable with new technology. This is not for those people - they can continue to carry around 12-18 lb AGM batteries.

its the starter and its work load that determines the current draw thru the jumper wires , not the battery
