    Winterizing question......

I am pulling apart Frankenbike to bring the plastics and the tank to be painted. Is it bad if I pull the tank off, and run the bike until the fuel lines are empty? Will some residual gas be left in the carbs that will cause me problems?

    Winterizing question......

There will always be residual gas left in there. Best bet? Use the bowl drain screws.

What he said. There should be a little drain screw on the BOTTOM of each carb. Then again, if you stabilized the gas (as talked about in the other thread), you shouldn't hafta bother with either...

    Highsider

    to bastardize your thread.......................

Use some of that "jelley" in your bathroom to winterize your ride.

You seem to think it has some usefulness for other applications :-)
