    My wife has these:
    http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...ing-Boots.aspx
They look awesome in person and are waterproof. Not quite racing gear, but offers all the protection without the 100% look of a cruiser boot. She also has JR leather and mesh jackets that she likes. Got them at newenough.com on clearance in pink.

Definitely try to see MotoMarket (the best at fitting helmets properly) or see Patricia at Seacoast. Both have women's gear and if they don't have it, they have a great deal of knowledge on it. I 100% agree with JRO in checking out local sources for gear and the 2 places mentioned above are top notch.

As to recommended gear I like Alpinestars. Have had their jackets as well as a two-piece leather suit. Wasn't as thrilled with their track oriented boots though so I went with Sidi this time around. Patricia ordered them for me and called me when they came in. She knew her stuff and in my opinion that's worth it to drive an hour from home to pick them up. Consider that at the time I worked at another moto dealership and still went out of my way to give MotoMarket and Seacoast my business because of their attention to women's gear. Good local businesses that support the sport and provide gear for women get my dollar for sure.

Oh yeah, and Alpinestars run small and the sizing is European.

    Re: Women's Gear-questions/recommendations?

While I'm all for trying to save money by shopping online (and I do it frequently), using a brick and mortar store as a place to test fit something and then going to buy it online is pretty sleazy (provided the conditions below were met).

They (very likely) took the time to:
    Have the item in stock
Figure out what you were looking for
    Help you try it on
Took time out of their day to help, when they could have possibly been helping a paying customer.

If you want to buy online, do it, you want to be hand-held through buying something, go to a store. I know Newenough's return/exchange policy is pretty liberal (I went through two pairs of boots and three pairs of gloves) if you guess the wrong size.

I agree. There's a reason so many places don't keep stuff in stock anymore, and its because they get burned by people trying on the stuff and then shopping online. I try and support local business wherever I can, it actually makes me sad there are precious few spots like Motomarket that really cater to the motorcyclist and support the motorcycling community. Those online sites are a dime a dozen, all faceless corporate entities who really don't give a rats ass about you. I use them as a last resort, if it all.

trying to save my hard earned money is sleazy? ive bought some pricey items from moto market when i didnt know any better. but now that ive spent thousands of $$ ive learned that shopping pays off big. If your rich and want to be pampered then by all means spend your money. ill save a few duckets and buy a trackday.
    moto market dainese 1pc 1500.00
motorcyclecloseouts 999.00 thats $500 savings whose the sleeze .. if local shops presented good gear at a reasonable price i would buy local... Vanson in fall river has some of the best riding leathers made and at very cheap closeout prices. you want great gear without getting hosed make the trip you wont be dissapointed.
check out how much work Brian Vann has done for SBTG he goes through each article in depth and its also a store not a warehouse ....

    Re: Women's Gear-questions/recommendations?

I have always had great luck with Joe Rocket jackets fitting quite well even though I have a bigger chest. Many other jackets were either way to big or fit like too boxy. As far as leather pants, the Alpinestar always fit well for me.

    Good luck and ride safe!

    Re: Women's Gear-questions/recommendations?

In trying to find stuff for my fiancee, we stumbled across this place: http://www.bikerchickessentials.com/ which doesn't have an online store, but promises to have a) stuff that fits, and b) full retail price (unfortunately). It's located in Milford, NH. Has anyone been there?

Curious whether any of you have come across a fully/mostly perforated women's leather jacket? So, far I have found only the Alpinestars Stella NYC jacket and a River Road jacket. Fiancee may be looking for one soon.

Yeah, well, paying rent isn't important anyway.... The gear will keep me warm when I'm living in a cardboard box this winter.... Or anyone have a couch to crash on?

Did I mention that trying on leather pants on an 88 degree day with insane humidity in a non air conditioned warehouse is 'effing amazing? Everyone should try it, at least once.
