Forgot how to ride

Well not like I ever knew to begin with!

Well almost.
I rode my bike into work, think its the first time in a month!
(bike trouble, see my other Bike Maintenance threads!)

Well been riding my little 49 cc Kymco knock off... that's right a Chinese knock off of a Korean scooter that's a knock off of Japanese one!

Anyway its weird that the bike actually moves forward when you roll on the throttle! Imagine that!

I had to catch myself a few times pulling away from stop lights, almost getting front wheel air! Nice to be back! Hope this weather holds for a bit.

Do you wear the racing gear on the chinese rocketship? Now I don't feel so bad riding my 250 around for kicks.

That's exactly what I was doing when my bike was down. I would actually drive back to CT to ride my dad's Yamaha Vespa knockoff. Those things are actually a blast.

You know its ridiculous when you think about the HP difference.
600RR = about 103 HP
Tank 50CC Sporty = about 3 HP

I think I like 103 HP better!

congrats on being back! does it feel good?

you need to be careful with the scooters

if you floor it off the line, there will be no power to the wheel because of the centrifugal clutch

if you're still floored when that clutch grabs (and you're leaning back), the front end comes up REALLY quick, and I prayed that I didn't shatter a rented scooter, while 5,000 miles from my home on a remote island (where the law = beat your ass up), off the coast of Spain, with only $40 on me. Luckily it came straight up, scratched the luggage rack and came straight back down (with my hands on the bars the whole time)
