    congrats!
I gotta ask, what's the great benefit of changing the rearsets from OEM? Is it more for track bikes, or a common upgrade for street use also?

They move the pegs generally up and back.
This gives you more ground clearance.

But I'd bet that over 50% of people get them for the
bling factor. That said, Satos are nice bling and I woudn't kick em
    off of my bike.

Even better news. I may be able to get the rear sets for the Super Duke. He asked which bike I wanted them for and is looking into if they make them for the Duke!!! That would be sweet! if so they will have to be Black!

The RC is not the most comfortable bike on the market and the Sato rearsets allow you to adjust the pegs into a more comfortable or race position, whihever you prefer. Hell, you can try out many positions! Satos are some of the nicest on the market.

gotcha. i looked at the woodcraft and even vortex sets, and didnt understand the point in $300 for rearsets for my bike if i dont take it to the track. $35 for an OEM rearset on eBay worked for me.

I could be wrong here but I think both of those are geared more towards racing and just bring your feet up and back, offering more clearance and some more comfort. I have some OSF rearsets (not as good as Sato) and they offer many different positions which helped with me being taller than the average rider that stock rearsets didn't. Something to think about if you are a little uncomfortable and are looking to do long rides or track days.

Well, to me, shithead, bling'y is chrome and shiny crap without function. Racy is functional and if it looks nice too, sweet. Got it?

I had Vortex and now have Woodcraft, Vortex rolled up like tighter than a frogs ass with one low side, nothing survived - skip em. oh if anyone wants to by a Vortex for the right side for an R6 they work great!

Another plus for the Satos is that they ' double ' as frame sliders , being that they dont fold up like the stockers do...
