    wood trailer boards. bike slipping

So transported the WR on the trailer the other day.
Trailer has wood boards. After x # of years a nice film/ algae is on it. WR frotn wheel kept slipping as I tried to load it.

Any recs on what to do to keep it from being slippery in the future that will last?

I'll power wash it but after it tends to sit in the shade/ covered in snow during winter encouraging the slime / slipperiness to grow

I power wash it once a year or so. Keeps the slimy stuff from building up. Im sure some skateboard grip tape would be a quick and easy solution.

Paint it. While still wet throw kitty litter on it. Paint again to lock them granules in place. Nonslip surface like a boat deck. Cheap and works. I done it many times with ramps.

paint wont last. what you have is a slimy deck. powerwash, run the powersander on it, and then seal it down. should last years if done right, and you can pick the color: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07D9TBDKP

Re: wood trailer boards. bike slipping

One of the tips I've seen/heard is to notch/groove the center board where the bike sits. The actual recommendation was to put a seam at the center and angle cut the edges to make a valley where the tires would sit. But I think it wouldn't be too hard to take a circular saw and, if done properly, cut it to achieve the same result.
