Kham, those are great cross-country bikes, too bad you need a machine that can corner.

Those things will outcorner an average rider no sweat given the proper person riding it. I wouldn't go the knobbie route, but the new version is about 100hp and 60lbs lighter than the old one. I'd take one if I could afford it, that's fo'sho'.

Heres a condom. I figured since youre acting like a dick, you should dress like one too.

is your bike qualify for the term "rice" yet? you need the chrome in there somewhere.

would never buy 1 unless it's free. if i wanna do cross country i'd get a subaru or something.

Hmm.. yah that bike is plenty fast for you.

I agree about the height though. Best for 6' guys. You'd be doing all kinds of funky gyrations to get it off the centerstand, etc.. and get going.

I'm 5'7" (could be argued). I would LOVE to have that as my only bike.

It's just like a nice, tall attractive country woman who can hold her own through anything. Sure, I may need a stepladder to get on, but you can be damn sure I'd ride it every day.

yeah, i thought it would look pretty sweet.
IMNSHO, the lower's the best part (visually) of the post '02 designs. perhaps the only good part. but i'm a little biased.

the GS series BMW's are awesome bikes a few years ago, they were not only named best bike in their category "adventure bike" but also best bike in the "sport touring" and "touring" categories ( back when ST's were 1100's not 1300s and Wings were 1500s and not 1800s)

I'd love to own one especially the new 1200, but I'd settle for a used 1150

Kham, yer just a wannabe poser

i think it's safer being poser. no?

he was telling me this bike is the only bike i will ever need. this bike is second to none in terms of quality. as dumb as i am, i dont buy this. he showed me an article in Motorcycle Consumer mag he subscribed to which i read 1/2 of it. the mag states some of the changes to the crappy design from previous years. ie. the drive shaft in previous year required oil lube maintenance and this year is not needed, how bmw bike technology is old compare to bmw cars and the complaints from bmw die hard riders about clunky trans and some other things i can't recall.
