I was afraid of that when I heard of this shake-up last week.

Re: NO WSBK OR MOTOGP ON Speed

i used to watch every WRC (rally) race on Speed(vision) and up until last weekend i thought that had completely eliminated it from TV until i switched over early for the AMA race 2 from NOLA and caught the last 5 minutes of the final WRC race of the season. i cant even set my DVR for it because its just labeled "auto racing" so if i set it for that it would record 11ty billion hours of NASCAR and other crap that i dont care about.
sucks about the possibility of losing the big motorcycle races. in all honesty, about halfway through the season i stopped watching moto GP. AMA 600 races were just way more exciting. i recorded all of the WSBK and MotoGP/Moto2 races though. maybe ill watch them this winter.
i wish someone would just make another Speedvision channel and show everything from lawnmower racing to top fuel drag boats. it was nice that tuesday was "2 wheel tuesday" and they showed all the motorcycle races from the weekend in case you missed them.

Looks like stupid shows like Pass Time rule out over better programming.

    Oh well.

I used to try to guess the cars ET but that rich Christensen who produces it is annoying as anything. The only thing more annoying is his staff of experts on pinks.

The MotoGP.com coverage is 100 times better anyways. You get what you pay for...

Other things that can't support a mainstream tv audience are better on internet than they would be on tv, too. WCT surfing, for example; live from wherever (like Fiji, Tahiti, Hawaii, etc), with NO time restraints on the programming, either time of day aired or duration. Better commentary, more coverage, less ads, and in that case, free. Hopefully motorcycle racing will follow suit.

cable/sat TV is on its way out...

Still sucks for those of us on a budget who can't shell out the cash for annual subscriptions to motogp.com........ I'd rather deal with shitty commentary than not see the race at all. This would blow

Re: NO WSBK OR MOTOGP ON Speed

And the networks really wonder why people torrent?

I'm a huge F1 fan, and I've been following this news for a while now, but today it was announced that the 2012 season will be the last on Speed. It's so frustrating to have 15 channels of regular sports. I like sports, but I don't need 5 ESPN channels, Comcast Sports and other channels that all broadcast the same damn thing. I don't know how much you need to love sports to actually enjoy all those stick and ball sports channels. All I ask is for one, ONE god damn all motorsports channels, and we still can't get it. I swear if I lived alone I'd ditch cable all together. It's such a rip off.

Re: NO WSBK OR MOTOGP ON Speed

That's depressing. I already thought there was too much NASCAR on Speed (You can get it on like 4 other big channels, why does Speed need it?) and who needs another general sports network? So much awesome shit goes on around the world and we're just insulated from it here.

Re: NO WSBK OR MOTOGP ON Speed

Moto go and wsbk are the only reasons I even have speed. And unfortunately it comes in the same their as BBC so I can't even drop down and save money. It will just be another of the hundreds of channels we never use.

WOW, this is like when I complained about how crappy my shoes were til I saw the guy with no feet!.

If this happens I plan to roadtrip to the headquarters and burn it to the ground. (not sure what hdqurtrs yet). I can put the seats back in my astro race van & carry 7 more people (half should be hot chicks) to help me set the fire.

My wife counts as my hot chick (she is) so you guys decide who else is coming and bring some empty gas cans and maybe ski masks. (& beer if you want, my console is a cooler)

    DOWN WITH TYRANNY!
