    Leather waterproofer

I recently got a new jacket. First leather one I've owned. Do you guys condition the leather with any waterproofer or anything?

    Leather waterproofer

I went to Wilsons Leather at the mall and paid some retarded price for a can of spray on waterproofer, and a bottle of conditioner. Actually they were only like $7 each. I've conditioned my full leather jacket, full leather pants, and full gauntlet leather gloves 2x heavily with the conditioner, and I've used probably 2/3 of the bottle. The first time I did it, the leather REALLY sucked up the conditioner. The second time was probably a month ago and wasnt so bad, used considerably less.

I just about a month ago used the leather/suede waterproofer as well. Before when water would get on the leather, it would sit on it and eventually saturate into the leather. I used the entire can of waterproofer doing a 2x job on my pants, jacket, gloves and boots, and now when water hits them, it just beads up and rolls off. :hellyeah :hellyeah

Riding in the rain previous to waterproofing my leather would get wet, but never soaked through fully, now I should be good to go for all but the absolute worst of rain storms.

Unless you have Microsoft Streets & Trips, you wont be able to.

I uh........got my copy of it using packetnews.com and MIRC. 1.2gigs, but got lucky and had like an 800kb/s download speed for that particular file, so, yeah.

    Leather waterproofer

I use NikWax http://www.nikwax-usa.com/powersport...x.htm#leathers cleaner to get the bug guts off and then I use their leather restorer that I picked up at Moto Market along with my riding pants. The stuff works really well for waterproofing. Only drawback is that it makes the leather a bit "slippery".

I've learned my lesson to use very little of the product on the butt area of my riding pants. The first time I treated the pants, I was sliding around on my seat for the next 4 rides or so

I try to clean and "restore" my riding leather every 4 or 5 rides to keep them clean and water proofed.

    Leather waterproofer

Jeff if i show you some roads will you rub my leather?

I have used maguires leather wipes to clean off the crap. then used a terry cloth to break down the uber shiny-ness it leaves.....

I actually tried camp dry on me older leather jacket and it worked good for about 2 weeks of florida downpour riding.... then it started to smell funny and got moldy in the seams
