So through word of mouth a guy who was interested came down and checked out the bike. Even before he came to see the bike he already told me he had cash in hand and was coming to see the bike with a pickup truck.
After ~10mins he just busts out an envelope full of cash (5k to be exact ), and we start to load her up.
Sad moment to see her go, as the 916/996/998 series bikes have been my dream bike since i first saw them. But the money goes towards new truck for me, a small trailor, and if i can sneak it in..... a deposit for a 1098. Well depending on how much my wedding is gonna cost me anyways.
But here's a question for you guys. Am I strange to get mad that the bike is going to someone whom will never ride that bike as it was supposed to be ridden? I mean i'd like to say that i ride pretty aggressive on the twisties (as much as my abilities will allow), but i have a good feeling my old 916 will be more of a "trophy" than a machine. I dunno maybe i'm just feeling down to see the old bike go as i was pretty attached to it. Yeah lil cheezy but meh i spent alotta money/time on it, i mean it also had sentimental value to it as my fiance bought it for me after i proposed to her since i sold my previous bike for her ring.
