Cool idea, but not cool enough for the price they command.

I'd like to see real advancements in electric bikes, but right now battery technology is what's holding everything back. Until batteries can deliver enough power to give a 150-mile range at normal highway speeds and be recharged fully in under five minutes, electric bikes will be little more than commuter machines.

hybrid is as close to an electric vehicle that we ever get as a practical choice. unless you live in the city and only commute 20 miles each way, (and thats all you use it for) fully electric vehicles will just never make any sense.
