I wanted to wait until I had all the information since this just happened about 24 hours ago now before I posted anything but you guys are really supportive so I guess I can post it now.
I was riding yesterday with a friend and we were hitting some really awesome roads and going about 10-15mph over when part of the road turned into a really HUGE downslope and I tried to slow down, in part to avoid wet leaves and the other part because this turn was nuts and locked up my rear brake which then caused the bike to skid out and I was thrown from the bike and landed in-between 2 poles that had a about a 3 foot gap inbetween them but stopped just short of the tree that was directly in the middle-front of those two poles. I landed in a massive amount of thorns/prickerbushes but I was wearing all my gear and came out of it extrememly lucky.
I was taken in an ambulance to St. Joseph's hospital where they told me I broke my collarbone, severely bruised my lower spine, and have an abundance of huge bruises on my legs and some cuts from the thorns digging into my legs while I was waiting for the ambulance. I'm in a lot of pain and I can barely move and typing is pretty difficult. I've never broken anything before so this is pretty painful IMO.
Thank you for your support!
