Got a video of a ZX-14 with a pipe and tie-downs running 9.17@153mph at Los Vegas, which has an altitude of 2000ft.

Holy cow... someone is going to have that thing in the 8s really soon.

They let the journalists run the bike around the NASCAR oval to show off it's high speed stability.

Well apparently most of the journalists were sane but the guy from motorcycle.com pegged the speedo @ 186mph and did several laps right on the speed limiter... at which point Kawasaki freaked when he came into the pits and took the bike away to test it. (Worried about exploding tires)

Gadsen: Nuts! He was at the intro helping the journalists... he said 9.7 without having to strap the front.

Amazing strapping the front is worth so much!

2mm larger bore and 5mm larger stroke than my slow ZX-12R... And its redline is only 500 rpms lower than mine. I just want to see some engine numbers from that beast. It must make monster power.

sat on one down @ the NYC show. For a big bike it was suprisingly light moving the thing side-to-side. CG must be fairly low. The "Testarossa" side panels realy screw the looks up though.

Where did you learn the metric system? 14,000cc is a 14 Liter motor, maybe in a semi but not a bike. Try 1400cc

You think someone will go through the trouble of cramming a 14 engine in the 12R? Imagine that, the power of the 14 with the looks of the 12! Besides the engine, I also want the headlights. They are bright!

An interesting feature of the ZX14 that could open up a number of custom mod possibilities is the CAN bus used for bike management. Instead of discrete wires for every little function, all data is transmitted over the bus. If the commands are published, it will be very easy to interface with the bus using cheap PIC microcontrollers and then what you can do is only limited by your imagination.
