1 hour slab ride from worcester to westboro ~3:30pm (sat 3/31)

I get out of class ~3:30pm, and might take the windy way home to see if the (far and few) twisty roads between worcester and westboro are clean yet

I can't go for a long tri-state ride because I've got things to do later in the evening, but would anyone like to come for a slab?

A day that I commute (albeit dangerous), always feels like a day I've saved $$ on gas, and had a fun time on the ride.

Lucky for me, that fun was just beginning when I got out of class an hour early.



Stopping at traffic lights, worrying about other drivers, and avoiding potholes makes riding through urban America no fun. But jobs and schools are usually in cities, so I "did my time" and took it easy, rode cautiously, and scanned for hazards, while riding out.



After getting through traffic, and away from the cars, I made it onto the highway and towards a loop I had done about a week earlier. It wasn't that much fun the last time around because the roads were covered in salt, and it was still a little cold out.

This time the sand was concentrated on the side of the road meaning that they had been swept. Looks like I'll be more adventurous this time.

The residential areas had some tighter, twistier roads, so I took it a little slow. I didn't mind so much, because the next part of my ride had some wider roads, and more gradual turns.



Don't you feel like down shifting, tucking in and getting on the balls of your feet just looking at those signs?



On the downside, my batteries rand out, my hour was up, and I have to go home. On the upside, I realized a road that I had traveled many a time was actually one of the wider, more level (although not entirely twisty) roads that is fun on a bike.

well put the saddle back on so I can finally join a worcester ride

we also need to gather on a sunday morning so we can:
-make a blue hills run
-make a mohawk trail run
-take some backroads down from motomarket
-go to the vanilla bean

saturdays are no good for me, so let's go on a sunday morning
