As we roll into February, check that the trickle charge is still lit up on our bikes, and start to anticipate the first ride of the season, I'd hope a few of you would be wondering about the Seacoast Ride Schedule! Well, wonder no more...here it is! (It will be posted on the Seacoast site soon as well!)
For those of you who've not joined this ragged bunch for one of our rides here are a few things to note:
- Cardinal Rule - Ride your own ride. Stay at 80% of your ability based on conditions, etc. Seriously...no one needs to worry about how they're perceived or getting lost!
- These are ATGATT rides. Helmet, Jacket, Gloves, Jeans (at least!) and appropriate footwear required.
- While the pace of these rides would never be considered 'Parade Laps' we try and maintain some level of sanity and I strive to try and leave observers with a good impression...! Size of group dictates pace as well!
- Over the years we've gotten pretty good at keeping even large groups together. We have several folks with Comm Gear. (Chatterbox, channel 4.4) No one gets left behind.
- Once a season Seacoast springs for lunch. We never know which ride but it's always appreciated!
- If the DAKS (Adirondaks) RIde interests you please let me know ASAP. We keep this to 10 riders and it's been a lot of fun!
Old timers...feel free to comment!
Newbies...feel free to ask questions!
Kenn...I'll leave it to you to maintain the countdown clock!!!
(BTW. there was a thread earlier about a weekend in Maine. If you're interested please post your comments here!)
