Are you sure that's yours? I don't see your picture on it. I have couple that do, though.

They should have made a Monster 848. Just sayin'.
They do have the Monster 821, which is a fine riding bike. They also have the StreetFighter 848, which I think is about to be discontinued if it hasn't already, but a new leftover should be easy to find and reasonably priced.

Street fighter does little for me. I like the round (ish) headlight, bars on, upright banana seat Monster experience. Monster 821 does it for me too. Unfortunately I also crave a single sided swingarm with a sexy wheel attached with a giant nut. Who doesn't like giant nuts?! I sure do. I've decided that Monster S2R would do the trick. Although if I were willing to do water cooled, I'd go 1100 Evo; because radial calipers are sexy.

You know. Not that I've given this any thought or anything.

Couple of notes, though: The 1100 EVO isn't watercooled; it's the apex of the aircooled 2V tech. The S2R1000 is the best of aesthetics, and the best early style Monster tech, except for the plastic tank. Great bikes overall -- the whole Monster series.

Wait, the 1100 Evo is air cooled 2V? Did not know this.
    Shows what I know.
Dig those radial calipers. Dig that SSSA. Dig that exhaust routing.
    Hmm...

Colin...do not ride the 1100 evo. As Phil says, it's the penultimate of the 2 valve air cooled motors. I had one for a week and it was, without question, the most fun bike I've ever ridden. (I had a penchant for 2 valve, air cooled bikes - ST2, Second rev Muilti, and of course, my 800SS.

Take a look at what Jesse from Seacoast is racing...yep, an 1100 Monster. And he's doin' pretty well!

I have a secret love of that bike. I want one! Jessie makes it trot too, no doubt.

Guaranteed that at least one rider shows up at Seacoast at 9am on the 21st this year.
