i;m interested got my Sm xr650r will that be ok?? I'm thinking i'd need soem dual sport tires first...

I'm sure you could manage the entire route with any tires if you avoid the hero sections. It all depends on how much you'd like to push that bike rather than ride it. Conditions could change, but there's not a whole lot of mud out there right now.
