People have already called me from the lawn event and said it is awesome. Most likely the best event there this year. The Ducati truck is there with all the models and some suprises. Eric Wood will be speaking on "The Thrill of the Track" and there are hundreds of private bikes. Allot of them only get out a few days a year and others have traveled around the world.

Highly recommended that you all get your butts over there before noon.

Nice ride down...Mark, Mark, Duffy, Terry and Walter! The route I plotted out turned out to be pretty pleasant. No slab and mile after mile of low speed twisties through megabuck real estate. Spent a couple hours walking around and saying hi to a bunch of folks.

    Slabbed it home!!

    No pictures!

Left too late to make it to Seacoast and then got lost in the middle of Boston

Went home and took a scrubby pad to the chicken strips

but may I note that the showing of vintage ducati's was sub par, ESPECIALLY compared to the quantity AND quality of the BMW and brit bike showing.

Thanks for leading Dave. I grew up down that way, but some of those roads were new to me. Other than the chipmunk casualty in Weston, that was a nice ride down.

I fixed my original for you.

I was hoping to see some 851, 888, 916 body styles. The beginnings of the Superbike.

Re: 9/21/08 (Sunday) European Motorcycle Day at the Larz Anderson Museum

Great show yesterday. Saw a lot of pretty cool bikes & caught the last 10 minutes or so of Eric Wood's presentation which I thought was pretty good. When Eric opened things up to questions TuonoMark wanted me to ask him who was faster, him or his brother... but I already know his answer to that question.

Saw Dave roll in w/ the Seacoast ride crew (including my bestest, favoritest buddy on his k1200), Jro and her boyfriend Kevin, Spicey, Degsy, Patricia, etc etc.

Oh & that Bimota Tesi 3D that tsanto posted above was pure SEX

    Good times.

Re: 9/21/08 (Sunday) European Motorcycle Day at the Larz Anderson Museum

that was a great show. I rode down with my dad and a couple of his buddies. Met Tom###'s and his white d675 (gorgeous) and thoroughly drooled over a number of bikes. Made an easy decision to get an RSVr as the next bike . Plus it was cool to see the car museum inside. Also, Maynard cycle shop (forget the name) is selling off Vertigos for $275, the guy said he'd give the show price on them so I think those are a soon to be purchased item.

The bike in silver is the Can-Am Spyder. Rode one and feels nothing like a motorcycle! They are more like a cheaper alternative to a roadster. However for someone whose physical condition does not allow them to operate a two wheeler, this could serve as a good weekend rider. Very comfortable though. The steering geometry is so different, especially the fact that you steer and not counter steer.

Anyways, back to European bikes. Love the Bimota.....I am sure this thing does not dive in hard braking....Now I wish I had got my lazy ass off the bed earlier and made it there.....

Re: 9/21/08 (Sunday) European Motorcycle Day at the Larz Anderson Museum

Show was awesome. Thanks Dave for leading us down. The Bimota was easily the sexiest bike there. The funniest comment of the day came when we were leaving Eric Woods presentation and someone said that the $72k Desmosedici looked a little bit like a Honda hurricane. There was a pretty nice 851 across from the Seacoast tent as well.

Sarah has some pics that I'll have her post when she gets home tonight.
