Amherst right here! I might need a few weeks to brush off the rust I've accumulated but I'll be down for a ride anytime when the sun comes up.

I'll be taking the bike out once the weather is consistently warm, mid-April is what I hear. I'm always down for beer & BBQ. MMMMMM. Beer.

    Re: Amherst, MA Riding Group

Some of you guys already know about the thread for the group ride for this Saturday, but just throwing it on here too.

Still working out the details, but I'll be posting a meeting time and place in Amherst in the next couple days. Probably looking somewhere around 10am.

If interested, look on the "April 3rd (rescheduled ride)" thread and post up there.

    Hey DJ,
Check out that thread, you're always welcome to come. I think Virus said he would be down, too.

Why can't you go faster than 90, because of the air/fuel mix?

i think so,the bike idles perfect and it rides perfect until i either full throttle it or it reaches high rpms, it dosnt go past 8,000 rpm,i ran through all the fuel lines and everything but my guess is that it is still the carbs, i was only able to get to one of the carbs because i did not want to strip the screw and they were not budging, but the car looked spotless in the inside.

I think cleaning the air/fuel will help. I was having problems with the CBR last year with a hesitation at about 3-4k rpms. I talked to a mechanic over at Valley Motorsports and he suggested cleaning the air/fuel and it seemed to help.

Anyways, you should come on the ride, I don't think we'll be breaking any sound barriers.

    Re: Amherst, MA Riding Group

I'm in Southern Vermont, only about 45 minutes north of Amherst. I'm down there all the time and my moto shop is Valley Motorsports in Northampton. I would love to get in on some rides when my bike is no longer in 1000 pieces across the shop floor. Will be worth the wait I'm sure Keep me posted on rides!

    Re: Amherst, MA Riding Group

Just an update, big ride this Saturday if anyone is interested.

I'll be meeting up at the Cumby's on the corner of Rt. 9 and S. East St. at 10:30, kickstands up at 11. Headed up 63 to Keene to join some other NESRians for lunch and then a jont down to Brattleboro and down 116.

Check the April 3rd (rescheduled ride) thread for the full map.
Hope you guys can make it. Virus, we'll hook up sometime. Good luck with the house sale.

Shit...I wish I woke up a little earlier and saw this. I'm only a couple hundred feet from the Cumby's, but my bike is in Ludlow. There's no way I can make it to my bike and back in 20 mins. Maybe next time.

Jeff 6R, was that you on the black Ninja at the intersection with all the construction on the UMass campus yesterday? I may have passed you, also on a black ninja.
