    Ride Report

It was raining hard when I woke up this morning, but a quick look at the weather radar had the showers ending shortly, sure enuf they did, I ventured out about 8:25am, gassed up and met pokey athe the diner, shortly after I arrived, PHANTOM pulls in with his R6. the ride becan at 9:30 give or take a few minutes, everybody gassed up. then northerly on 153 for a short ways where we sidetracked our way north on some twisty distractions. then on to Rt 109, roads were still wet, gravel washed across several corners, back to 153 in Sanbornville, from there we were stuck behind a string of traffic that wasn't worth the risk all the way to South Effingham. Finally open road again, pavement mostly dry by now, a few cages until we divert off 153. then open road again, all the way to Route 2 in Gilead, Pokey came from the rear to ride ahead thru Evans Notch, He was waiting for us at Rt 2 all smiles, from there a gas stop in Bethel, then on to Rumford, and Rt 17 to Oquossoc, Rt 16 to Erroll for gas stop # 2, then south on 16 to Conway, with a few diversions enroute Portions on 153 south, to our last gas stop in Union from there I peeled off for home, I hope I didn't get pokey & PHANTOM lost with my half ass description of how to get to Sanford via back roads

Good Day, about 250 miles, we got rained on a few times very hard at times, but never very long

Thanks to RandyO for leading such a nice ride. Thanks to Pokey for keeping me company back to the shore. I had a great time. It was an honor to ride with both of you!

Thanks RandyO for leading the way. The ride was great. Your directions were fine. Phantom thank you for showing me just how fast reactions can and should be in city trafic. I don't know if you remember the raodie on the pedal bike working his ass off up that hill just after we peeled off from Randy. I had a humorous inner helmet thought about him as we passed: We should have let him draft us up that hill. Ok not that funny, but it WAS in my helmet, you know how that goes. Anyway love to try it again only dry.

Oh yeah, and that bit of 16 just back into NH when the sun came out, and the road was dry... THAT is what I left the house for, that was worth all the rain.. That and the notch. Damn, I love to go fast on sketchie roads.

We will have to do it again. I would love to come check out your neck of the woods Pokey. Maybe some evening you might be up for a short ride. My ass is still sore from Sunday!
