Thanks for a great ride Dave. For those that joined Rick and I glad you all had fun and road within yourselves. It was a good time. I ended up with about 415 for the day. Ready for bed. Plenty of riding left this season so hopefully we can do it again soon.

Re: August 25th - Seacoast Curtis Ribs Ride - 9:30 sharp!

Thanks, Dave, Mike and Guy for leading/sweeping.

I think I logged about 375 miles today. ~58mpg from the Shell at Seacoast to the Shell at the gorge. Haven't quite killed off this tankful.

Kenn, please tell Jake I apologize for passing him as we turned from a light. I hope he doesn't think I bullied my way past. I was on the inside, but should have been staggered behind him and as we turned, next thing I know, he's behind me.

@matt. I can't speak for Jake, but have ridden both in front of you and behind you. In both cases I've thought about how much I enjoy riding around you. We all eff stuff up, but in my experience you've been very predictable and show respect for the riders around you.

I don't think I was involved or around for this particular situation, but I will say I don't have any issues with you or how you ride. We can all eff things up... My last track day I realized that I was signaling for exiting the track and pit. I was signaling and had no signal lights, but my blinker was running.

I'm glad I was in the slow group after lunch, cause it was pretty fast! Nice pace into Woodstock Dave, and some of the views were just awesome. Line of the day - which Dave said to Jason's wife: "You smell good".

    A few pics:

Curtis getting a copy of a BBQ book that his business was referenced in and includes his picture:

Considering their bikes, I'm glad that it was NHBusa having to chase down nhbubba, and not the other way around. I was actually never very worried about Colin being lost, as he always carries a few days supply of water:

Oh yeah, and thanks to Jim for opening the shop up early and to SeaCoast SC for treating all to ice cream.

Dave neglected to tell me and Mark Seacoast was buying the ice cream. No treat for us. The ride to Quechee Gorge was our treat.

I'm glad I hung near the back this time. I wasn't feeling quite up to the usual front-mid pace, but the pace we ran was pretty comfortable. A good example of riding within your limits in a big group.

    Jason's wife did smell good.

    No worries about ice cream!

The ride to Woodstock and the ride home was worth missing out on free ice cream. Minus the part about passing the trooper at the speed of plaid.

So in case anyone was wondering, after passing the trooper at "the speed of plaid", I looked over at Hawk and waved that I was going to pull over. My nerves were still a little frayed from coming over the hill and then seeing Hawk at a practical standstill. I think I went from 130 mph to 50 mph in just a second or two but it was too late for the trooper who, I was told, was shaking his head. I had no idea what to expect. What do you want to guess he asked me?

"Do you know why I pulled you over?" Not very original. I'm envisioning being gang raped at county. He then tells me I passed on a double yellow. Hello? If I didn't pass Hawk on the left you'd still be pulling me out of his ass. To be truthful, at that point I was happy he wasn't arresting me. I gave him the "thanks officer" and rode on my merry way.

Next time I'll limit it to the speed of stripes.

Passing on double yellow is legal in VT unless specifically posted, no?

98% sure they're talking about NH. You know, the right-side-up VT.

Yes, but we were in NH, just outside of Claremont.

I never know where I am on these rides...

I know where we start and have half an idea where I am when we end. And I know I've been to the Gorge twice now.

That's what great about these rides. You go on roads you had no idea even existed

I'm starting to realize where 123 is. Show me it 5 or 6 more times and it might stick.

123 between Hancock and Rt 9 is probably my favorite stretch of road.

Everything I learned about navigating around NH I pretty much learned from Dave. Mike (Not Sure) has some great stuff too, but I can't for the life of me remember where the hell we go on his rides!

I cheat. I record them using a GPS. Spying, some might say.

I meant what I said earlier though. Dave runs a helluva group ride. Even when groups get split up, things still work out. And the quick edits on the fly. I dig it.
