Boston F1 CARTING Sunday NOV 11th 2007
time doesnt really matter to me although i dont like getting up early on my day off.
1/2 hour doesnt sound like enough time since we have about 20 ppl who are allegedly showing up. 8 min p/race (which is really about 10+ min) is only 3 races in 1/2 hour. if everyone wants to do 3-4 races then we are gonna need a whole hour. if they estimate 3-4 races for 10 ppl in that 1/2 hour we have twice that so we need twice the time. does that sound right?

Sounds right.
I think we need to call 2 days in advance to try to reserve the race times, unless you all want to do the reserve a block of time? I would need your payments via paypal in advance for me to put it on my card.

She gets out at 5, she can be there by 6.
From the looks of it, that might be a little too late for some of you guys though so if you guys wanna race earlier & do drinks after that's cool.
The 80-90 dollar scenario is a bit steep for her anyways so if we do that she'll skip out & just do an Arrive & Drive race or two afterwards.

yeah. $45 was a good deal when we only needed a 1/2 hour but now we need an hour so it will be $90 p/p (so $180 for me and amanda) unless they are giving a discount for a whole hour like say $1200.

Michael
Track 1 - $2700
Track 2 - $2400
For 1 1/2 hours on the track .
Heather
Doesn't look like we would get any kinda discount.
This would give 20 people 4 races each. $33.75 a race.

That electric kart track in haverhill was 750 per hour :poke::hmm:
-
Boston F1 CARTING Sunday NOV 11th 2007
33.75 a race and we will have a private track.
How much is it if you have to pay to arrive and drive?
F1 Boston Professional Race Tracks, Indoors
Day License $10.00
Per race $28.00
So we are talking 122.00 each for 4 races If you arrive and drive. No Garuntee you will be racing with your buddies.
or
135.00 each and you have a private track. I would happily pay the extra $13.00.

$28 for "a practice session and a race". Not sure how long each is.
-

We are trying to get a discount, not a head injury surcharge. :twofinger:

I started looking into this for my own well being... I have never been and thought I would share my info.
Someone closer needs to take up some slack.
I predict 30 people say they will go and only 10 show up.

If you make them paypal you their share before hand I bet they'll show :poke:
-

theres also a place in Windsor locks CT that is a good time, its a shorter track but the guy that owns it is a racer so eh ets a little more bumping go on as long as you arent blatant about it. Problem is theres no bar, but you also dont have to wear driving suits. Its a nice ride out there... perhaps we can do that one on a warmer time of year lol.
F1 Boston is fun but pricey and with this group there WILL BE a lot of stoppages. If you are bumped or get bumped no matter if its because you checked up in a corner and someone behind you did not.. you get a warning or a penalty. If you are racing aggressively (like everyone here will be) you will end up being black flagged and brought in to get a talking to lol. Been there done that a few times.
It will be fun but you have to race overly clean. I will follow the thread for a bit I might be in depending on what gets decided. Luckily for me vendors from work rent it out for us from time to time. We should get it sponsored :)
