OK...I really hate to do this. But, let me get some feedback from the group about whether the weather will impact folks tomorrow.

Current Weather Underground report...

Overcast with a chance of a thunderstorm and a chance of rain. High of 82F. Winds less than 5 mph. Chance of rain 50% with rainfall amounts near 0.2 in. possible.

...so, do you see the glass 'half full or half empty'?!

I'm good to go no matter what. I have a suit that is waterproof and don't mind riding in the rain. But, I'd be willing to reschedule if the majority would prefer looking for a more promising day.

So, bounce back here with your preference. I'll add it up and make a call by 8:00 tonight.

WX forecast fir yesterday was hellacious. Didn't see a drop. Sorry I left the bike home. Today doesn't look much different so far.

Brattleboro forecast says mostly sunny with scattered t-storms, chance of rain 50%.

Right now seems like a good chance we'll probably get wet at least once, but probably won't spend the whole day in rain.

I'm OK with dealing with a shower or two, but not interested in spending the entire day in water.

Ditto. I have an hour ride on each end of this loop. Riding for 8 hours in the rain when I have a ton of house projects to do is less than compelling.

OTOH riding West into an Eastbound thunderstorm is no biggie.

I'm OK with a go/no-go call this evening.

Not helpful, but I'm 50/50, not based on weather, just the domestic schedule. The rain doesn't phase me, as long as it's not all day.

FWIW, the aviation forecast for tomorrow shows visibility greater than 6 miles and a broken cloud deck at 4500'. No mention of storms there yet.

Sunday is only showing 20% chance of precip. Opposed to Sat's 50%.
Same happened here yesterday as someone mentioned, barely a drop fell, but today it's a constant drizzle with some light rain, so far.
That's with a 40% chance precip. forecasted.

Got a couple bath towels and a high wattage blowdrier for the wimpy ones

From a northern Vermont perspective, things are not looking good down south. Weather.com and the National Weather Service are both saying 60% chance of rain across southern Vermont tomorrow... and I've found that the majority of the time around here, the percentage chance of rain ends up indicating not the chance of whether it will rain at all, but the percentage of time water is falling from the sky throughout the day...

Furthermore, weather patterns this summer have largely been turning south as they approach Vermont and hitting the southern half of the state (as today -- while it's partly cloudy and 73 up here in Burlington).

Sunday's looking a bit better, if you guys want to postpone a day; as for next weekend, who the hell knows...

Funny, I was just going to suggest that.

For the Bennington Triumph Bash Friday night BBQ dinner, we've been going back and forth between Curtis and Top of the Hill, but everyone agrees Top of the Hill is tastier. Curtis is a little easier to deal with for a large group, but with a little advance organization Top of the Hill works out great as well. And their food is definitely better.

Your group is getting pretty good-sized, so you might want to phone ahead and give them a heads-up that you're coming. The owner's name is Jon Julian.

What time do you figure you'll be there? Maybe I'll gather a few northern VT folks and meet you guys there.

I'm with some others. I don't mind rain at all, so long as it's not a constant downpour. Even if the day is good and it pours all their way home I don't care. I'd also be up for Sunday if you felt so inclined to postpone a day. I can't make the next two, maybe three, weekends, so I'll go this weekend regardless.

Not at all, if we end up going. Given the weather we'll probably do a different ride on Sunday instead and hit up Cajun's Snackbar or someplace for lunch (unless Dave postpones the BBQ ride). You're welcome to join us for that one too. PM me if you're interested.

Dave, if you guys postpone to Sunday there may be three or so of us joining you, likely no more. This has been a tough summer to motivate people -- unpredictable weather, plus lots of work, personal life, and homeowner stuff getting in the way for most of the northern VT crew. Plus a bunch of people are doing a track day Monday so are busy prepping this weekend.
