CB doesn't have the tuning, the antenna does. Little set screw in the base or the tip. It's pretty damn important unless you have a full quarter wavelength whip like mine.

Towards the bottom, near the top of your truck. It's so instead of the antenna hitting your paint, the ball will. Toss a little tape or epoxy on either side of the ball to keep it from moving up or down.

i don't have atennis ball I'll just have to deal. Tested the thing out this morning and it worked pretty good. i may have to straighten a little kink in the coax. i think the bend is a little to harsh and might be killing the signal a bit.

We got handles on these tthings? You think we'll be in range to get eachother? Guess it depends when we all head out.
