You cant even back ass end into your own pants....:twofinger
Lowside is better than a highside.
If the crf goes down the only thing that will break is maybe a clutch cove or a shifter and I'm brining JB weld.
KB
You best bring some KB weld too :D :D :DQuote:

I'm fuckin STOKED for this trip!!

Anyone know how to do really good aluminum welding? Two brackets on my left side radiator are broken.... I dont think JB weld will fix it.
Also looks like my front left fork is going back to GMD to get resealed. Haven't even road the thing and it's leaking? WTF? :(
let me know when/where you find an aluminum welder... my kickstand needs a professionals touch.
I too need an aluminum welder, i have a number of things I need to get done on my bike. I think I heard of a guy in revere. Once I have three free seconts I'm going to look him up and bring the toys over.
Mike,
the real question is, did you get it running last night?
that is an excellent question!

Gentlemen, don't forget about that welder in NC that helped us out that day two years ago that Jon slapped his SV into the pavement. He did fantastic work and was CHEAP.
I have a mig that can weld alumnium. Mig can weld for strength and not looks. It will hold but not look good due to using mig. If you want nice looking alumnium welds you need to tig it.
Mike
Bike is now running! It helps when you hook up positive to positive negative to negative... :ill: I dont even remember removing the batery, but that was back in October? :dunno:
The rectifier was not the issue at all.... ( Thanks Lis ) oh and Brian!
Now a few things left and it's all set!!
I got a new insurance policy and saved a ton of cash thanks to Gieco.. NOT! I have hanover ins.
By switching the bike to not being able to carry passengers, raising the deductable from $300 to $500, dropping 1 point this year, and actually getting credit for my MSF and having an MC licence for 8 years without a "recordable incedent" ;) is am saving over $500!!!!!
My policy went from $989 to $468 Wooohooooo!
Oh I may be able to get a freind from my shop to repair the rad? If not I will ask P.K. I need to give him a few things to do anyways. (reseal 1 fork-again, swap a front tire, and posibly weld this Rad's brackets)
Pete are you listening?? I will be calling very soon !
Mike, you need to take a trip to the local Yammy dealer and get a good bike so you can ride it rather than work on it:poke: :D
You gonna take it down the dirt dragon with us:drool:
I had more issues with my first Yammy than I ever did with my RC. Problem is I love this bike so much more I actually maintain it! I am always tweaking and making it better r adding a goody. Thats the only reason I work on my bike a lot, except for this years start... Another day or two of work and I will be 100%. Now I just need to find the time.....
Mike, you forgot to mention there is a similar Yammy that has no charging system right now. At least your RC charges! :poke:Quote:

Sorry Brent, had to.
Mike, if I remember correctly the issue you had that started the whole wiring problem was not caused by you but someone who originally installed an aftermarket undertail with integrated blinkers, the radiator must have broke long ago. The seals are normal over time and for some reason these bikes like seals.
I just had the forks done remember?
As for the rad???? :dunno: I don't think it was like that? Could have been? Not a big deal I can get it welded for free!
I will have to see what Mr. Kates says about the fork seal.
The battery most likely was my fuck up?
I now have a new wiring harness with all the connectors. now I need to find thee stock directional male connector in order to have all stock connections even if I have a cool new aftermarket LED Tail light! :) Can't wait to try it out!
You know you did the battery...:poke:
